Things I REALLY didn't need to know

My roommate uses a Keeper. How do I know this? Because she left it on top of the toilet to dry after she washed it. The TOILET.

Now, I don't care that she occassionally leaves her Nerve book of positions out for all to see. And I even don't mind when she leaves her sex toys on her bed and then keeps her door open. While discretion is certainly appreciated in shared living situations, we're all adults here and as long as she doesn't make me watch her USING the toys, it doesn't faze me. But the Keeper. That's just gross.

This or this would be great Christmas gifts for her. Were I to get her a gift. Which I won't.

It's a rubber cup that you insert to catch menstrual fluid in lieu of tampons or pads.

Yeah.

Thanks for the link to the Keeper site. I learned from it things such as: "When women try The Keeper(TM) they often become so enthusiastic that they inquire about becoming distributors." I take it that you, Moxie, are not among them?

There are some things that I feel no need to collect and recycle, this being one of them.

I gotta go with anonymous 2 here...

Who is moxie? how would you know her roommate?

Why would she have a problem with this? Some anoymous blogger, posts a remark anonymously about her...

The whole point is you don't know her or her roommate..and never will...back off dude.

Geez, Moxie. Passive-aggressive much?

Anonymous 1 - I wonder what the roommate would do if she knew about the blog? Would she care? Read back - Moxie has been bitching about her lack of consideration forever. This is just her way of venting, although often in a catty, holier-than-thou kind of way.

For whatever reason, she thinks that shitting on other people, their ideas or habits makes for good grist for her mill.

Anon 2 is right about freedom of speech, but wrong about whether the roomie would have a problem with it being exercised. If I knew that a housemate was posting like this about my dirty laundry, or in this case something much more intimate (though I have to admit it's a bit gross by Western hygeine standards) I'd be moving out ASAP.

It's scary to think that any of us could live with someone like this without knowing it.

1. It's my blog and I'll whine if I want to.
2. Catty and bitchy, yes (although I prefer to call it "snarky"). Passive-aggressive, no. Every time I've written about my roommate, I've actually discussed the issue itself with her and worked it out at home. When I asked her if she could put her Keeper elsewhere, she was sheepish and agreed that it was gross to leave it out. But that doesn't mean I can't express my frustration/surprise/bewilderment here, where most of the people who read it are friends.
3. You're entitled to your opinion. I appreciate you sharing it.

Next year when I put up a Christmas tree, I am going to use The Keeper as ornaments. It will be utterly snazzy!

I can't wait to see The Keeper's customer testimonial page.

"I enjoy using my Keeper so much that I got one for my daughterwhen she started her flow. My daughter and I are closer than ever! Thanks, Keeper!"

"My monthly is never a surprise now that I use The Keeper. It's simply heaven. Thanks, Keeper!"

"I used to get frustrated every month. I would get mad at leakage! My not anymore. MY Keeper helps me keep a lid on things. Thanks, Keeper!"
